12 STEPS TO REVERSE GLOBAL WARMING – INTRODUCTION

Global warming is on a trajectory that will cause catastrophic results. As one event after another leads to the destruction of the earth, we will be subjected to unbelievable suffering. What we will be witnessing, if we don’t reverse the course we are on, is the destruction of the earth. We will be taking part in a process where the earth temperatures continue to rise. Future events will become larger, more destructive and more intense as time goes on. The final result will be the annihilation of life as we know it.

Nature has developed a very complex system of checks and balances.  The forces that control our physical world are inter-related and depend on each other.  Everything in nature is related and a critical balance is what makes everything work.   Nature is a very large, complex and powerful system that is difficult to understand. It is built on systems that feed on other systems.   It is the connection with each other that has created the amazing diverse landscape that we all live in.  Earth is a miracle of wonders that is difficult to comprehend and as we look at the magnificent result, we are left in awe.

It supplies us with all that we need to live by.  As we build our lives within it, we need to understand it and preserve it.  We need to work with nature not against her.  When we destroy parts of it we are upsetting a system that is self sustaining. Nature is part of many systems and these systems feed off of each other. If nature is left alone, it works beautifully but when man interferes with it without considering nature’s needs, we are working against her. When we do things that interrupt a sequential order, we break the system and chaos results. In order to live in harmony with the earth we need to understand its needs. It is every person’s responsibility to be a caretaker of our earth. Global warming is going to make Mother Nature very angry and we are going to be subjected to powerful repercussions.

Some of the horror scenarios that keep me awake at night haunt me as I work to understand what is taking place as the temperatures of the earth keep increasing.  Science seems to clearly point to the catastrophic future we will face if we remain on this trajectory.  If you try to work out the details in your mind of what likely will take place, it is not a pretty picture. It’s a bad dream fueled by scientific facts.

Here is one scenario that keeps me awake at night.   As the temperatures continue to rise, we will witness long droughts over large areas. Vegetation will dry up for without water plants will die. As water temperatures increase, the intensity of strong winds will also increase.  Fires will occur and burn at an intensity like we will never ever have seen. Cyclone type winds will torch the earth at such speed that very few people will be able to escape the inferno. Millions will perish dying a horrible death.  Once the plants have burned to the ground, the dry earth will become a dust bowl and vegetation which is key to all survival will be lost. At this point Mother Earth will be losing her tools in the battle to survive. Our earth will start to die.

Another scenario:  As the ice melts on the north and south poles, the ocean will rise and coastal towns will become part of the sea. These ice masses are necessary to the earth’s survival.   When the strong winds start to intensify like they never have blown before, flooding will occur drowning millions of people as they try to escape to higher ground. The higher land will be filled with so many people without food or fresh water that they too will perish. We will plunge our earth into an irreversible cycle.

Climate change is expected to have the most severe impact on water supplies. Without fresh water our earth cannot exist.  Many eco systems in our ocean and on our land will disappear as we change the climates around our earth. Everything in nature is related and as parts of our systems change, we will face further disruptions. Catastrophic events will continue to take place as the earth fights back with all of its power. Storms will become large, more erratic and more intense. The important thing that we all need to agree upon is that climate change is real. It will have fatalistic results causing terrible pain, suffering and ending in the destruction of our earth. If you accept this fact you will want to become part of the solution. Only if you strongly believe in climate change do we have a chance to reverse it. We are all in this together and only together can we solve this problem.

The fourth grade girl studying earth science in her school is growing up in fear of her future. It is an emotional problem no child should have to face. We need to insure her that we are working to solve the problem.

Fear is not what is going to solve this problem. Fear is a negative vibe. What is going to solve this problem is love. Positive vibes is what drives us forward, what unites us to fight for causes and what will get the job done.  When we become part of nature and love Mother Nature we will do things that are good for her. We need to love each other and all of the magnificent habitats of the earth and support the important role each of these parts play.  When we love the earth and understand its needs, we will help nature sustain life.

I have written 12 steps gardeners, home owners and farmers  can easily employ that will take CO2 out of the air and help in the battle to reverse global warming.
