HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY
Today’s mothers are a new breed bred by the high demands of modern day life. Mothers have always been caretakers but in our modern society they have also become bread winners. I look at my daughter the mother of two energetic boys involved in Sports and many after school activities. She worked hard in her schooling to prepare herself for this part of her journey. She got her bachelors from the University of San Diego, her Masters from Columbia University and her Doctorate in California. She has done an incredible job with her two sons, Brody 13 years old and in middle school and Tyler 15 years old and in his first year of high school.
Both are excelling in sports and academically. She puts breakfast on the table each morning, packs the boys lunches and put a dinner on the table each night. She helps with homework and makes sure the boys do their school work each day. She supports their baseball, soccer, basketball and football games by being there and cheering them on. She works a full time very stressful and demanding job. She gets involved in school activities and donates her time. I am not sure how she does it all but she like so many of today’s mother’s has had to become a Super Mom. Mother’s Day is a time to honor her
